Crisis and Urgent Support

Our practice is not a crisis or after-hours service. If you need help right now, call or text 988, or call 911 in an emergency.

01

If you are in danger right now

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 911. That includes a medical emergency, a risk of violence, or someone who has taken steps to harm themselves. Stay with the person if it is safe to do so, and remove anything that could be used to cause harm if you can do that safely. Do not wait for a callback from a therapy practice in an emergency. Tell the dispatcher clearly what is happening and where you are.

02

988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline

You can call or text 988 at any time, day or night. It connects you with trained crisis counselors. You do not have to be suicidal to reach out; you can contact 988 if you feel overwhelmed, afraid, or unable to keep yourself safe, or if you are worried about someone else. It is free and confidential. If talking feels too hard, texting is an option. Save 988 in your phone so it is there if you need it.

03

For veterans and service members

Veterans, service members, and their families can reach the Veterans Crisis Line by calling 988 and then pressing 1. You can be connected with responders who understand military and veteran experiences. You do not need to be enrolled in VA benefits to use it. Family members and friends can call if they are worried about a veteran in their life. Calling for yourself or for someone else are both welcome uses of the line.

04

What our practice can and cannot do

We provide scheduled online therapy across Arizona. We are not a crisis or after-hours service, and messages sent through the contact form or by phone may not be seen right away. Please do not use the contact form to report an emergency. If you are a current client, your therapist can talk with you about a safety plan and what to do if things become urgent between sessions. Planning ahead makes those moments less confusing.

After the crisis passes

Once you are safe, therapy can help you understand what led to that moment and build support for the future. You can request a free 15-minute consultation when you are ready. If you are already in care with us, let your therapist know what happened at your next session. Reaching out for help in a crisis is a strong and important step, not something to hide. You are welcome back whenever you are ready.
