Who this is for

Personal Injury & Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)

This page is for individuals navigating life after an accident, fall, workplace injury, or traumatic brain injury. Recovery isn't always as simple as healing physically. Even when scans look better and others expect you to move forward, you may still feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or unlike yourself. You might find yourself thinking, "I don't feel like me anymore."

Injuries can change how you think, feel, move through the world, and connect with the people around you. We understand that recovery involves more than the physical injury. Your emotional well-being, sense of identity, and ability to feel at home in your life matter, too.

What we work on

What clients bring to sessions

  • Fear and jumpiness in cars or near the place it happened
  • Irritability, low mood, or memory changes after a brain injury
  • Grief for the job, sport, or routine you lost
  • Frustration with appointments, claims, and slow progress
  • A life that has gotten much smaller since the injury

How We Work With Injury & TBI

At a Pace That Meets You Where You Are

We provide specialized, trauma-informed support for the emotional and psychological impact of personal injury, traumatic brain injury, chronic pain, and complex medical experiences.

We begin by understanding what recovery looks like in your everyday life. Together, we work to manage overwhelm, recognize what contributes to mental and physical exhaustion, build coping tools, and find manageable steps toward feeling more like yourself again.

Depending on your needs, treatment may incorporate EMDR to process accident-related trauma, cognitive approaches to address unhelpful thought patterns, and somatic therapy to help your nervous system reconnect with a sense of safety and stability.

We also understand that recovery may involve many people and moving parts. With your written authorization, we can coordinate care with physicians, attorneys, case managers, and other providers to support a more connected approach to your recovery.

Whether you reach out on your own or are referred by a healthcare provider, attorney, or case manager, you are welcome here. Our goal is to help you feel seen, supported, and equipped with tools for the road ahead.

Sessions

55 Minutes, Online Sessions

Screens can be tiring after a brain injury. We can plan short breaks inside the 55 minutes and adjust as your stamina changes.

Session frequency is agreed with you as part of your personalized care. Sessions are held as online sessions anywhere in Arizona, in English or Swahili.

What can shift

Recovery after injury is often measured in small steps. A drive across town without gripping the wheel. A morning where one ordinary task feels possible again. We notice those steps with you, because they are easy to miss when the larger recovery feels slow.

Can you talk with my attorney?

Yes, with your written authorization. You decide what is shared and with whom.

Do you accept referrals?

Yes. Physicians, attorneys, and case managers can refer through our contact page or by calling (602) 726-3899.

I have a TBI and tire quickly. Will video work for me?

Many people with a brain injury find video easier than driving to an office. We can take pauses, slow the pace, and keep notes between sessions simple.
