Individual Therapy
One-on-one online therapy for teens and adults in Arizona, built around what happened to you, how it shows up now, and what you want next.
01
What individual therapy is here

Individual therapy is a regular, private conversation between you and one clinician, held online while you are in Arizona. Sessions are 55 minutes and typically happen once or twice a week, depending on what you need and what we agree on together. Most people who reach out are living with the effects of trauma, injury, medical experiences, grief, anxiety, or depression. You do not need a diagnosis or a clear label to start. Many people begin with, "I don't feel like myself anymore," and that is enough.
02
What the first few sessions can include
Early sessions are mostly about getting to know you. We ask what brought you here, what daily life looks like right now, what helps, and what makes things harder. We talk about sleep, work, relationships, your body, and what you hope will be different. You choose how much to share and when. Before any deeper trauma work, we spend time on steadiness: ways to settle your body and mind so the work feels manageable rather than overwhelming. Think of us as a trail guide helping you understand the terrain.
03
How we choose an approach

There is no single method for everyone. Depending on what you are working through, sessions may draw on EMDR, cognitive behavioral therapy, cognitive processing therapy, DBT skills, Internal Family Systems, somatic approaches, mindfulness-based work, or Neuroscience-Informed Meditation Practices. We incorporate neuroscience-informed, evidence-based meditation practices to support awareness, emotional regulation, and the mind-body connection. We explain what an approach involves before using it, and you can ask questions or say no. The plan is built for the person in front of us, not just the diagnosis, and it can change as you do. If one way of working is not a good fit, we talk about it openly.
04
Who it is for
We work with teens from age 14, young adults, adults, and older adults. People come to us after car accidents, brain injuries, medical trauma, chronic pain, loss, military or first responder service, healthcare work, and long histories of complex trauma. Some are college students, some run businesses, some are new to the United States. If you are not sure whether your situation fits, the free 15-minute consultation is a good place to ask. If we are not the right fit, we will say so and suggest where to look.
05
Practical details

All sessions are online, and you must be physically in Arizona during each one. We are in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona, Aetna, and UnitedHealthcare / Optum, and can provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement. Sliding scale is available for those who qualify. Ask us about our sliding scale when you reach out. Intake / assessment session: $220. Ongoing sessions (55 minutes): $160. We ask for 24 hours notice to cancel, or the full session fee applies. Sending a request does not book an appointment; we reply to confirm details and find a time that works.
